About Stone Hedge Ladakh

After 15 years of successful operation Organic Retreat in Hundar, StoneHedge is our second project of the local family called Nerchungpa. It was established in November 2018 at an altitude of 3048M in Hundar village of Nubra valley, it overlooks confluence of three different range, Ladakh range, Karakorum and Saltoro range. One can also have panoramic view of Nubra valley.
It was design and executed by a famous celebrated architect Jai Goal, Latha Raman and Sandeep Bohadhi.
The stone hedge built based on sustainability practices to mitigate the adverse impact of travel and tourism activities on the fragile environment & communities of high altitude desert. Inspired by the work of the famous architect Laurie Baker, the hotel is designed with maximum use local materials and workmen. While delivering value to our guest, we aim to maximise local and sustainable consumption and production.
We have 15 rooms and one VIP/Family suite all carefully built from mud, stone and fine fabrics . Along with its large dressing and bathroom space, the bedroom leads onto a large balcony with a view of water stream and mountains.
The StoneHedge is at a travel-strategic location easing exploration of both side of Nubra valley. The famous sand-dune is located at 1km distance.

Reservation can be done online or at reception (Depends on availability)
Check-In time is 12 PM and Check-Out Time is 11 noon.
All Government Taxes are charged additionally and will be levied as per the charges prevalent during the time of the stay. In case of advance remittances, the additional tax amount, if any, will be collected directly at the time of check-out.
